What this Excel merge tool does

Use this browser-based Excel / CSV merge tool when exported reports, marketplace sheets, supplier catalogs, or monthly operation files need to become one clean workbook.

  • Merge multiple .xlsx, .xls, and .csv files into one Excel workbook.
  • Keep all original sheets as separate output sheets with safe file-name based sheet names.
  • Select sheets manually and merge rows into one table when headers should map to the same output columns.
  • Add a source column so every merged row keeps its original file and sheet reference.

Best use cases

The tool is designed for practical spreadsheet cleanup rather than a single narrow conversion job.

  • Monthly sales reports exported from different systems.
  • Product catalog sheets from multiple suppliers.
  • Marketplace CSV exports that need to be reviewed in Excel.
  • Operations files where matching headers should be combined into one table.

Worked example and output behavior

Suppose January.xlsx contains Sales and Returns sheets, while February.xlsx contains another Sales sheet. You can preserve all three sheets or combine only the two Sales tables.

  • Keep-sheets mode produces separate output sheets such as January.Sales, January.Returns, and February.Sales.
  • Row-merge mode lets you select both Sales sheets, map their source headers to final column names, and add a Source value to every output row.
  • Header mapping is controlled manually, so columns are combined only when you assign the same final header name.
  • Row-merge output is data-focused; review formulas, formatting, merged cells, and complex workbook features before using the export as a final report.

FAQ

Are my Excel or CSV files uploaded to a server?

No. Files are parsed and merged locally in your browser, and the generated workbook is created on your device.

Can I keep every sheet instead of merging rows?

Yes. Choose the mode that keeps all sheets. The output workbook will contain renamed sheets such as fileName.sheetName.

Can I merge sheets by matching headers?

Yes. You can select sheets, review headers, decide which output columns to keep, and map source headers to the final column names.

Does it support .xls and .csv files?

Yes. The tool supports xlsx, xls, and csv files, including mixed uploads in the same merge task.
